Questions

Questions we hear

Short answers. Call us if yours is not here.

How long will a roof last in Yuma?

It depends on the material and how it was put on. Tile outlasts shingles here, and the sun wears underlayment and coatings faster than labels suggest. We check the condition, not only the age.

Does my tile roof need new tile?

Often not. If the tile is sound and the roof leaks, the underlayment is the usual cause.

How do I know if a foam roof needs a recoat?

Chalky, cracked or faded coating, or areas where you can see the foam. We check before recommending.

Why does water stand on my flat roof?

A blocked drain, a scupper set too high or a low spot. We find which one.

What does the estimate include?

Each item on its own line, and what is extra. The estimate page lists them.

Do I need to be home for the visit?

Not for the roof. For the attic or ceiling, someone needs to let us in.

Insurance and storms

About insurance and storms

Will my insurance pay for a new roof?

That is between you and your insurer, and policies differ. We can inspect, photograph and write an itemized estimate for you to share. We never promise what an insurer will pay.

Do you handle the claim?

No. We are not public adjusters. You decide whether to file and you deal with your insurer.

Can you fix a leak in the monsoon?

We can seal or cover it between storms. A lasting repair needs a dry roof.
