Flat and low-slope roofs
Foam, coatings and flat roof replacement
Flat roofs here are protected by a coating you can't see from the street. When it thins, the roof is already wearing.
Many Yuma houses, duplexes and small shops have a stucco parapet around a foam or membrane roof. We recoat what can be recoated, repair what is local, and replace only what the roof can't hold anymore.
What we work on
Spray foam roofs and their coatings
Single-ply and modified roofs on flat decks
Parapets, coping, drains, scuppers and curbs

What we do
Six flat roof jobs
Foam recoat
Clean, repair, then a new coating over the foam. Done before the foam is exposed to sun.
Flat roof replacement
When the layers below a coating have taken on water, a recoat only hides the problem.
Ponding fixes
Clear the drain, add an overflow scupper, or build up the low spot. We find which one it is.
Parapets and coping
Cracks in the stucco and open caps let water in behind the roof edge.
Curbs, vents and skylights
Reflash and reseal. Rubber boots and old sealant are where flat roofs often start to leak.
Foam recoat
How a foam recoat runs
Step 1: Walk the roof and press
Soft or spongy spots can mean wet foam. We mark them and photograph them.
Step 2: Clean the surface
Dust, palm debris and chalking come off, and the roof dries before anything is applied.
Step 3: Repair what is cracked
Cracks, blisters, seams and flashing get fixed first. Wet foam is cut out and replaced.
Step 4: Coat to the written thickness
The estimate says what coating, how many coats and what the maker's terms are.
Step 5: Final photos and a walk-through
You get photos of the finished roof and of each repair.
Ponding
If water is still there two days after rain
Standing water shortens a flat roof's life: it softens coatings and finds every small crack.
The cause is one of three: a blocked drain, a scupper set too high, or a low spot in the roof. The fix is different for each, so we measure before we recommend.

Questions about flat roofs
How do I know if my foam roof needs a recoat?
Chalky, cracked or faded coating, and areas where you can see the foam, are the signs. We check before recommending anything.
Can any flat roof be recoated?
Only if what is under the coating is dry and sound. If it isn't, the estimate says so and prices a repair or replacement.
Is a flat roof worse than a pitched one?
No, but it needs more attention: water has to be moved off it on purpose.
Do you roof mobile homes and shops?
Yes, if the roof is flat or low-slope. Tell us the building type on the form.
