Warranty and credentials
Whose promise is whose
You get the terms in writing before work starts, so you can read them with someone you trust.
There are two promises on a roof, and they are easy to mix up. Ours is about the work. The maker's is about the material.

Two warranties
Workmanship and material
Our workmanship warranty
It covers how we installed or repaired the roof. The length, the terms, the limits and what isn't covered are in your contract. Damage from storms, from other trades on the roof, from foot traffic and from lack of upkeep is typically excluded, and we say so in writing.
The maker's warranty
The tile, shingle or coating maker gives its own warranty, with its own terms and exclusions. We give you the paper and explain it. It is the maker's promise, not ours.

About the paperwork
Do I need a permit to replace my roof?
Usually, yes. We tell you at the visit whether yours needs one, and the estimate says who pulls it.
Can I cancel after I sign?
If you sign at home, you may have 3 business days to cancel. Your contract says how and where to send the notice.
What does the estimate include?
Tear-off and disposal, a deck check, underlayment, flashing, coating where needed, cleanup and the warranty terms in writing. The estimate page lists each item and what is priced as an extra.
Want the terms before you decide?
